Group bookings at Mayfair Farm Riding Stables can be booked for individuals who want to take part in a group lesson/ride that is in our diary or for those wishing to have a birthday party with a group of friends. We can also hold hen and stag parties as well as corporate parties. Please feel free to have a look below and contact us if you have any questions.
A Pony Day is an opportunity for a child or teenager to ‘own a pony for a day’. They will be able to go and catch the pony and learn how to groom them correctly. They will learn what brushes come in a grooming kit and have the opportunity to learn how to tack their pony up and untack them.
2 hours of riding are included in this package as well as mucking out the stables and learning how to clean tack. Ideal for a birthday gift or a holiday treat! A pony day is a perfect chance to learn how to take care of horses as well as ride one! Every child who takes part in a pony day will receive their own rosette at the end.
The day starts at 9.00 am where they will catch their pony and groom it. Lessons and rides take place for an hour in the morning and afternoon. The day ends with the children taking their ponies back to the field and finishes at 4.00pm. These experiences are available during the school holiday, on set dates. Please join our mailing list for full dates of the up and coming events or call 01428 712264.
These adult horse rides take place once every two months on average and usually consist of 4 – 6 hours of riding – not including time spend at each watering hole! The rides leave at 10.00 and return between 3 and 5pm – depending on the weather. You will need to bring with you a packed lunch and money for any drink you wish to buy.
These rides are for experienced riders only and take in a huge amount of the beautiful common land around the farm. There are a number of pub possibilities along the ride including The Duke of Cambridge, The Bluebell, The Crown and the Barley Mow.
If you are interested in booking one of these rides then please contact the riding stables to register your interest.
